What a beautiful day than yesterday!
I have been quilting on my first day, which by the way was also the first that took place in Sicily. Organized by Quilt
Italy, was held in Scoglitti in a local place just below the lighthouse.
I saw some beautiful quilts, some completely sewn and quilted by hand. A mentally unbalanced
work, would it be to say, but true works of art, in addition to the capacity and competence, take time, patience and a good dose of insanity.
were more or less than thirty women, we did some chores together, we exchanged tips (of course the more experienced have given more in terms of knowledge) and we talked about our work and our experiences.
I want to thank two people in particular:
Simona Marotta who organized and Scoglitti
Ragusini Maria, I already knew via the web and I had the pleasure of meeting personally, confirming the impression that I already had her and that is to be a very kind and helpful person.
Also thanks to all the other ladies I met and I hope to review in the future.
I go out from this experience "charged" with enthusiasm and desire to make quilts .... possibly!
